Kitchen Backsplash Ideas With Corian Countertops

Consider arranging your backsplash tiles in a mosaic pattern if your countertops do not have a loud pattern..

Corian countertops are made from plastic resin and trademarked by Dupont. You can choose Corian counters in almost any color, texture or pattern you desire. As a result, you should be able to find Corian countertops to match your kitchen, color palette and personal preferences. When picking a backsplash to match your countertop, try to match colors and materials for a cohesive look.

Natural, Earthy Colors

Corian counters come in a range of natural, earthy colors and can be made to look similar to some natural materials like granite and other stone. Look for stone tiles, such as granite or slate, to match your Corian counters. Granite tiles come in a range of colors, so finding one to match your countertops shouldn't be difficult. Slate comes in a range of browns and grays.

Bright Colors

Corian counters are available in a variety of bright colors. If you've chosen a bright color for your countertops, consider a glass tile backsplash. Unlike stone tiles, which are somewhat limited in color, glass tiles come in a wide range of colors and sheens.

Solid Colors

If you've chosen a solid colored countertop for your kitchen, the backsplash you choose can be arranged in a busy pattern without competing with the counters for visual attention. For example, if your countertops are solid black (called Nocturn by Dupont), consider installing a backsplash with a busier gray, white and black pattern. Choose from glass, granite, slate, marble or ceramic tiles. The busy backsplash pattern will visually balance your kitchen and create a natural focal point.

Miscellaneous Ideas and General Advice

Backsplashes are an opportunity to become creative in your kitchen. Backsplashes can be treated like mosaic tiles, forming images and elaborate patterns. Some ceramic tiles have painted images on them, which you can use to add to the theme of your kitchen. Remember, the busier your backsplash, the more subtle your counters should be.
