Make A Vertical Line With A Horizontal Dashed In Illustrator

You can use Illustrator to create a dashed line.


The Adobe Illustrator interface provides several tools for building simple to complex images. You can draw a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line in a variety of colors, brushes, sizes and line styles using the Line Segment tool. Customize the line style to create a vertical line with a horizontal dash in Illustrator.


Instructions


1. Launch Illustrator. Press Ctrl and N to create a new document.


2. Click the Line Segment Tool from the Tools panel. Click on the stage and drag downward to create a vertical line.


3. Select Window and Control to open the Control panel if it is not visible. Click the Style button and select the Dashed Stroke item. Click the Stroke button and select a Stroke Weight of 2 for a 2-pixel line.
