Hang Plates On A Wall

You don't have to be a collector to need to display plates. You may inherit plates from your mother, grandmother or great-grandmother, and although you don't want to get rid of them, you know you won't ever use them. The next best thing is to hang these plates on your walls.

Instructions

1. Use those wall spaces where you can't hang pictures to hang your plates. These include archways and wall space above windows. You can also put plates in high places where you wouldn't want to display a picture.

2. Hang your plates around pictures to create a unique display. This is especially useful when you have a picture that the plates complement, for example, a picture of the Statue of Liberty and plates from all the states.

3. Arrange plates in any fashion that pleases you. The nice thing about plates is you can use any wall and arrange them any way you choose. You can display your plates in a diamond pattern, a rectangular pattern or in a horizontal or vertical line. You can even display them on walls throughout the room without any pattern.

4. Buy plate hangers to put on your plates. You can purchase them anywhere and they are inexpensive.

5. Put the plate hangers on the plate. Hook the plate hanger to the top of the plate and expand the spring of the plate hanger so you can hook the other end to the bottom of the plate.

6. Nail the plates to the wall in whatever pattern you have chosen. Leave room for new plates if this is a collection.

7. Display your plates on a wall using a plate rack. This is another way to hang plates on a wall.
