Wooden storage cubes can be hung on a wall for shelving.
Storage cubes are a popular way to attractively stow away unused items in your house, but they still tend to take up a good deal of floor space. One solution to this problem is to hang the cubes on a wall. A wooden cube can be hung just like a shelf, and can even support fairly heavy objects. With just a few Toggler Snaptoggle bolts and a drill, you can hang your storage cubes in less than half an hour.
Instructions
1. Drill four 1/2 inch holes in the drywall, forming a square slightly smaller than the bottom of the cube. These are the points at which the cube will be connected to the wall.
2. Insert the metal flange of one of the bolts into a hole and pull on the plastic straps until it is tight against the reverse side of the drywall. While still holding the straps, slide the Toggler ring down until it is tight against the wall. Repeat for the other three bolts.
3. Bend the straps to snap them off, leaving only the Toggler in the hole. Drill holes in the appropriate locations on the bottom of the cube and lift it into position, with the open top of the cube facing out. Screw the bolts through these holes into the Togglers, to secure the hanging cube.
