The Harley-Davidson Street Bob is a heavyweight, highway-cruiser motorcycle.
In 2006, Harley-Davidson, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, released the Street Bob motorcycle, one of five Dyna models of heavyweight highway bikes featuring traditional Harley styling and classic big V-twin engines.
Engine
The 2008 Harley-Davidson Dyna Glide Street Bob came with a four-stroke, two-cylinder, V-twin air-cooled engine with four pushrod overhead valves. The 96-cubic-inch engine produces 91 foot-pounds of torque at 3,125 rpm, with a compression ratio of 9.2:1. It has an electric starter, electronic fuel injection and runs on premium gas, getting 54 miles per gallon.
Chassis
The Street Bob has a primary rear-wheel belt drive and a manual six-speed transmission with front and rear piston-caliper, single-disc brakes. The bike has a multi-plate, oil-bathed wet-clutch with diaphragm springs. The chrome, staggered, shorty-exhaust system features dual mufflers and the bike cruises on factory Dunlop tires.
Dimensions
The Dyna Glide Street Bob has an overall length of 92.8 inches, with a wheelbase of 64.2 inches, a seat height of 26.8 inches and 4.9 inches of ground clearance. It weighs 634 pounds, including oil and a full tank of 4.8 gallons of gas.
