2007 Flhx Specifications

The 2007 Harley-Davidson FLHX Street Glide is a cruiser motorcycle available in six color designs: black pearl, black cherry pearl, vivid black, pacific blue denim, pewter denim and deep cobalt pearl. When the bike first hit the market it came with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $18,295. The Street Glide series began in 2006 and was still in production through the 2011 model year.

Dimensions

A chassis 94.5 inches long sits on top of a 63.5-inch wheelbase. The frame clears the ground by 4.7 inches at its lowest point and the seat is positioned 27.3 inches from ground level. The dry weight of the vehicle is 733 pounds; it has a wet weight of 770 pounds.

Power

A 1,584 cc four-stroke V2 engine, with two cylinders positioned adjacently on the engine angled away from each other, powers the Harley-Davidson. Both cylinders have a bore of 3.8 inches. Pistons travel 4.4 inches within the cylinders. The engine has a compression ratio -- the ratio of the cylinder head volume compared to that of the piston before and after a compression stroke -- of 9.2:1. The torque is 92.6 ft.-lbs. at a rate of 3,500 rpm.

Other Specs

An air-cooling system controls the engine's temperature, ensuring it does not overheat and performs to its maximum potential. Transmitting the engine's power into the wheels is a six-speed gearbox transmission. The Harley Davidson can get 45.6 mpg. Its multi-plate clutch is equipped with a diaphragm spring. The fork is on a 26-degree angle, leaving a 6.2-inch trail. A suspension system that allows for 4.6 inches of front travel accompanied by 2 inches of travel from the rear helps smooth out the bumps in the road. Disc brakes provide the stopping power at both the front and back of the Harley. An electric starter system kicks the Street Glide into action.
