Remove The Foot Pegs On A Harley Davidson

Remove the Foot Pegs on a Harley Davidson

The foot pegs on a Harley Davidson motorcycle are the resting point for your feet while you drive down the road. Maybe you don't like the foot pegs on your Harley, or maybe you just want to change them out for a new set, but either way, the first thing you have to do is remove the foot pegs to make your modifications. This is an easy process, and can be done in a short period of time.

Instructions

1. Position yourself next to the foot peg and locate the mounting bracket that goes around the frame of the motorcycle. There is a clamp that goes around the frame that attaches the peg to the frame. Locate the bolt that holds the clamp to the frame.

2. Unbolt the foot peg clamp using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. If you have a set of aftermarket pegs, the foot pegs may be held in place using a hex-head bolt. In that case, you'll want to use a 3/8-inch ratchet and a 3/8-inch hex-head socket.

3. Remove the clamp from the foot peg and remove the foot peg from the frame. Repeat the process for the other foot peg.
