The 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King is powered by an 88 cubic inch twin-cam engine.
Harley-Davidson introduced the Electra Glide Road King in January 1994. With style cues taken from the mid-60's Electra Glide model, the Road King has become synonymous with classic touring style producing two models in the ensuing years; Road King and Road King Classic.
The Electra Glide prefix disappeared from the model name in 1996 once the model branding became clearly ensconced in the American consciousness; Road King, a remix of "King of the Road", a popular term used by Harley enthusiasts for the Electra Glide.
The 2001 Road King Classic (FLHRCI) keeps the tradition alive with its strong chrome-laden profile, leather saddlebags, fat whitewall tires on wire-laced wheels, and freight train-like headlamp.

The Road King Classic (FLHRCI) features a vibration-isolated black and chrome Twin Cam 88.42 cubic inch (1449cc), air-cooled, V-Twin engine; 5 speed transmission; and Harley-Davidson's top of the line fuel management system, Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI).
