Harleydavidson Crossbones Specs

The Cross Bones featured traditional Harley-Davidson styling.

The Harley-Davidson FLSTSB Softail Cross Bones is a heavy, retro-styled custom-cruiser street bike. It looks like a classic early 1950s Harley hardtail, when oversized springs under the seat were the motorcycle's only rear suspension. The softail design hides the bike's rear shocks. According to Harley-Davidson's website, the 2011 Cross Bones sticker price starts at $16,999.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson Cross Bones featured a 96.66 cubic-inch, V-2 four-stroke engine. Its bore and stroke was 3.75 inches by 4.38 inches with a 9.2-to-1 compression ratio. The air-cooled engine produced 93.7 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm. The fuel system utilized electronic sequential port fuel injection.

Suspension and Brakes

The Cross Bones featured chrome springer front forks raked at 32.5 degrees with 6.3 inches of trail. The front suspension allowed 3.8 inches of travel. The softail's horizontally mounted and hidden coil-over rear suspension gave 3.6 inches of wheel travel. The hydraulic disc brakes had a single piston on the front with rear dual pistons.
