Ford F150 Harleydavidson Specs

Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Specs

The Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson pickup is a special edition truck marketed jointly by the Ford Motor Company and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Although the special edition offers Harley-Davidson badges, interior appointments and its trademark black and silver paint scheme, its strength over the years has been its engine selection of high performance V-8s. For the 2011 model-year, the truck received a new 6.2-liter V-8 that will eventually replace the 5.4-liter version.

Power

The standard V-8 in the 2010 and 2011 F-150 Harley-Davidson models is the Triton 5.4-liter, featuring an iron engine block and aluminum heads. The bore is 3.55 inches, and stroke is 4.16 inches. The compression ratio is rated at 9.8:1 to deliver 320 horsepower and 390 ft.-lbs. of torque. Fuel delivery is through a sequential multi-port fuel injection system. The maximum payload -the amount of weight the truck can carry in the cab and cargo box-of the 5.4-liter version is 1,870 lbs. The 6.2-liter V-8 generates 411 horsepower and 434 ft.-lbs. of torque with a towing capacity of 9,300 lbs. The 6.2-liter version features two spark plugs for each cylinder for a better gasoline/air mixture to increase fuel efficiency and maintain a smooth idle. The 6.2 V-8 also features dual knock sensors to allow the spark timing of the cylinders to be individualized to each cylinder. A six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive delivers the power to the wheels. The rear axle gear ratio is 3.73:1.

Dimensions

The 2011 F-150 Harley-Davidson SuperCrew model features a regular 5.5-foot cargo box. The wheelbase measures 145 inches with an overall length of 213.7 inches. The 2011 model stands 74.3 inches tall, 78.9 inches wide and has a 7.8-inch ground clearance. Interior front and rear head room measures 41 and 43.4 inches, respectively. Front hip room is 60.5 inches, with hip room in the rear of 64.6 inches. Leg room in the front measures 41.4 inches, with the rear leg room at 43.5 inches.

Chassis and Brakes

The 2010 F-150 two- and all-wheel drive models feature coil-on shock absorbers in the front and Hotchkiss non-independent leaf springs and sport-tuned shock absorbers in the rear. Front brakes are vented 13-inch discs, with the rear vented disc brakes measuring 13.7 inches. Low-profile All Season P275/45R22 tires sit on 22-inch Euroflange forged alloy wheels. The wheels' chrome center caps have a polished finish to contrast against the forged wheels, which have a matte finish.

Safety and Security Features

Ford offers, as standard equipment on all F-150 Harley-Davidson models, a built-in safety cage, dual-stage front driver and passenger airbags, three-point restraints, all-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, a passive anti-theft system, a seat-belt reminder and keyless entry.
