Dental Schools In Indiana With Free Dental Care

Multiple dental training clinics in Indiana offer low-cost services.

Dental schools frequently offer free or low-cost care to patients. This allows dental students to receive hands-on training while under the supervision of licensed dentists, and allows patients to receive need oral health care they might otherwise forgo for financial reasons. While none of the dental or dental hygiene schools in Indiana offer free care, there are low-cost services available. For a more comprehensive listing of all free and low-cost dental providers in metropolitan Indianapolis, see the resources section.

Indiana University School of Dentistry

The IU School of Dentistry is the only accredited dental school in Indiana. The school does run a clinic in which dental students provide care under the direction of licensed dentists. While these services are not entirely free, they are offered at prices far lower than those charged by private dental clinics.

The clinic treats children, adults and disabled individuals. It also accepts a limited number of orthodontic patients each year, and an emergency clinic is available for those who are in pain and need immediate care.
