Weighing in at just over one pound and equipped with a 2.8 LCD monitor, the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS digital camera was released to the public in March of 2009. The camera contains a a 20x zoom lens along with the capability of shooting video images in 720p and 1080p HD. Some of the other highlights of this camera include a review button on the back of the unit so that the user can review a small segment of HD video immediately after shooting the footage. Olympus Pen E-P1
Containing a built-in TruePic V image processor that helps to create vivid imaging for digital stills even in darker environments, the Olympus Pen E-P1 digital camera also features linear PCM sound recording. This special recording hardware allows the user to integrate musical scores and other tunes directly into personal home video footage while using the camera's 720p HD recording mode. Released to the marketplace by the Olympus corporation in July of 2009, this camera also contains a 3-inch LCD monitor that allows for quick movie footage review by the user. The camera's dual control dials allow the user to quickly focus the camera lens while switching between shooting in HD movie mode and standard digital mode.
