Replace the RAM in your HP Netbook.
The HP 110-1025DX Netbook computer comes standard with 1 GB of 533 MHz DDR2 notebook memory, located in a small memory bay on the underside of the computer. If your Netbook's memory needs replacement, or if you want to upgrade your netbook with additional memory, you can remove the original module from the computer and replace it with a new module. The HP 110-1025 series netbook supports a maximum of 2 GB 533 MHz DDR2 memory and can only have one stick of RAM installed at any given time.
Instructions
1. Shut down your computer. Unplug the AC adapter from the computer and remove the battery. Disconnect any attached peripherals. If your computer is warm, let it cool before proceeding.
2. Close the lid of the computer and turn it upside down.
3. Remove two screws from the cover of the memory module compartment. The Memory Module compartment is located near the front edge of your computer and can be identified by four columns of ventilation slats across the cover.
4. Remove the cover from the memory module compartment. Two securing tabs on either side of the compartment hold the RAM in place.
5. Push both securing tabs away from the RAM until the RAM pops up out of the compartment at an angle.
6. Pull the RAM out of its slot. Align the new RAM with the slot and gently push it into place. When your new RAM is fully inserted in the slot, push it down into the memory module compartment until both securing tabs click into place.
7. Replace the memory module cover and secure it in place with the screws.
8. Reconnect your peripherals, power supply and battery to your computer. Turn your computer on to make sure the installation was successful.
