Air Creation Twin Trike Specifications

According to federal regulations, a pilot's license is not required to fly an ultralight aircraft.

Air Creation is an ultralight aircraft manufacturing company located in Aubenas, France. Since 1982, the company has produced numerous wings and weight shifting ultralight aircraft, including the Twin Trike series. Weight shifting ultralights differ from stick and rudder aircraft in that the pilot controls the aircraft via a triangular weight bar mounted to the main spar of the wing. To control the aircraft, the pilot shifts the aircraft's weight by applying pressure to the weight bar.

Twin 503

The Air Creation Twin 503 is powered by a Rotax engine that produces 52 metric horsepower with a maximum engine speed of 6,800 RPM. The engine is mechanically reduced to provide a maximum propeller speed of 2,650 RPM. Sitting empty, it weighs in at 231 lbs. and has a fuel capacity of 10 gallons. The manufacturer's guidelines for structural load factors at maximum weight are 6 Gs, which means the aircraft will remain structurally sound at six times earth's normal gravity during operation.

Twin 503 SL

The 503 SL variant is powered by a Rotax 503 S engine that generates 52 metric horsepower with a maximum engine speed of 6,800 RPM. The engine has a maximum propeller speed of 2,000 RPM. Without fuel or other liquids, it weighs in 249 lbs. and can hold 10 gallons of fuel. The manufacturer's guidelines for structural load factors at maximum weight are 6 Gs as well.

Twin 582 SL

The 582 SL is powered by a Rotax engine that produces 64 metric horsepower with a maximum engine speed of 6,500 RPM. The engine also provides a maximum propeller speed of 2,000 RPM. Sitting empty, it weighs in at 265 lbs. and has a fuel capacity of 10 gallons. As in the other models, the manufacturer's guidelines for structural load factors at maximum weight are 6 Gs.
