Biker Clubs In Chicago

Bikers sometimes have the reputation of being tough people. While some are, many simply enjoying the thrill of riding a motorcycle on the open road. In Chicago, biker clubs bring together motorcycle lovers. Several of the clubs project a positive image and participate in local charities to help the overall community.


American Knights Motorcycle Club of Chicago


The American Knights Motorcycle Club consists of law enforcement officers, both active and retired, as well as civilians who support law enforcement. The club states that its goal is to promote brotherhood, fund raise for charities and encourage motorcycle riding. The Chicago City Council honored the club three times for outstanding charity work in the city. The American Knights sponsor the annual Casper Lauer Police Memorial Motorcycle Run, in which over 400 riders come to support police officers.

Buffalo Troopers Motorcycle Club of Chicago


The Buffalo Troopers Motorcycle Club promotes a positive image of the black motorcyclist. It adopted the Buffalo Troopers name to pay respect and continue the legacy of African-Americans who served in the military after the Civil War. In addition to riding, the Buffalo Troopers help the community by awarding college scholarships and donating money to schools.

Harley Owners Group Chicago Chapter


The Harley Owners Group (HOG), which is a national group founded and sponsored by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, is active in the Chicago motorcycling community with many members being part of the Chicago chapter of the American Bikers Active Toward Education (ABATE). Chicago HOG also supports many charities and assists in causes, including Bikers Against Breast Cancer, Greater Chicago Food Depository and Toys for Tots. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at Sidekicks lounge and restaurant. The public can attend meetings.
