Harley Screamin Eagle Dyna Specs

The Screamin' Eagle Dyna boasts a high-performance 110-cubic-inch engine.

Sporting two distinct, limited-edition graphical design styles and a trio of paint schemes, the Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle Dyna (FXDSE2), produced in 2008, is the latest incarnation of the 1992 Dyna Glide Sturgis. Based on the Dyna Super Glide platform and created by the Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) team, a division of Harley-Davidson that designs and builds limited-edition exclusive models, the stylish and powerful Screamin' Eagle Dyna is a favorite with Harley acolytes.

Engine, Performance and Exhaust

The Screamin' Eagle Dyna's high-performance, twin cam, 110-cubic-inch/1803cc, V-Twin, air-cooled engine is granite powder coated. It delivers 105 feet/per lb. torque at 3,000 rpm, a significant boost of muscle over the standard 96-cubic-inch/1584cc engine of other models in the Dyna family in 2008. Its fuel economy is 53 miles per gallon for highway cruising and 36 miles per gallon for shorter city jaunts. The fuel system is electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI).

The Screamin' Eagle Dyna features chrome straight-cut mufflers with full-length chrome heat shields and end caps.

Styling and Convenience

The Screamin' Eagle Dyna is the epitome of hot rod style with its rolled back custom front fender and sporty rear wrap-around fender. Stealth Rider Collection forward foot controls, passenger foot pegs, brakes and shift levers add significant shine to the overall appearance of the Dyna, and the reduced-reach custom seat has perforated leather inserts.

The Screamin' Eagle Dyna provides rider convenience with a tank-mounted, spun aluminum electronic speedometer with odometer, handy re-settable trip meter with a time-of-day clock, light-emitting diode (LED) fuel gauge with a low fuel indicator, an engine diagnostic readout and a low oil pressure indicator. A 4-inch tachometer is handlebar mounted for easy reference when riding. The fuel cap is neatly flush mounted, and a hazard warning is integrated into the signal controls. A six-speed indicator light is a handy extra.

The 1 1/4 inch-diameter internally wired chrome handlebars are designed to be comfortable on long trips; the lowered inverted front forks and hand-adjustable rear shocks offer additional style and convenience, and the Screamin' Eagle Dyna has a 5-gallon fuel capacity.

Graphical Design Styles and Paint Color Schemes

With a limited edition of 1,050 units, the serialized 105th Anniversary CVO Package features a two-tone Crystal Copper and Black Onyx paint color scheme with gold leaf graphics and a 105th Anniversary cloisonne; the air cleaner insert, frame and swing arm are color matched. The 1,550 limited-edition units featuring the Flame and Marble graphical design are in two paint color schemes: two-tone Scarlet Red Pearl with Dark Crimson and two-tone Candy Cobalt with Midnight Blue. Both have color-matched air cleaner inserts, frames and swing arms with flame graphics on the battery box.

Dimensions

With a low seat height of 26.5 inches, a moderate running weight of 698 lb. and a highly maneuverable 63.5-inch wheelbase, the 92.4-inch-long 2008 Screamin' Eagle Dyna (FXDSE2) is the namesake of the Dyna family of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
