Specs For The 2005 Harley Fatboy

Classified as a custom cruiser motorcycle, the 2003 Harley Davidson Fat Boy offered excellent handling and performance for a bike of its size and weight. The Fat Boy was also recognized for its mechanical longevity, as it could operate for a long time before needing any major maintenance.


Performance


A four-stroke, V-twin engine powered the Fat Boy, generating 78.2 foot-pounds of torque at 3,500 rpm. It had a displacement of 1,449 cc, a compression ratio of 8.8 to 1, a 3-inch bore and a 4-inch stroke.


Control


A 41.3 mm telescopic front fork allowed 5.10 inches of travel, and the rear shock absorbers allowed 4.3 inches of travel. The braking system comprised 11.5-inch rotors front and rear, dual-piston calipers.


Dimensions


The bike had an overall length of 94.3 inches, an unladen seat height of 27.5 inches and a dry vehicle weight of 669 pounds. It had a ground clearance of 5.1 inches and a wheelbase of 64.5 inches.
