Motorcycle events are weekly occurences in Illinois.
Rallies, bike blessings, rides, poker runs and swap meets are just some of the motorcycle events that take place throughout Illinois. A majority of the events take place in the Chicago area. Motorcycle dealers, especially Harley-Davidson, and clubs sponsor most of the events. Some events charge to participate, with proceeds going to local charities.
Ride Janie Ride
Ride Janie Ride is an annual ride to benefit blood cancer victims and their families. The nonprofit foundation got its start as a fundraiser for Janie Bawel, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2005. It has since gone on to raise money for other victims of blood cancers. The event involves an escorted 80-mile ride open to all makes of motorcycles.

Ride to Remember 9-11
Ride to Remember 9-11 is an annual ride to the Sept. 11 memorial at the state capital in Springfield. The escorted motorcade starts from a Springfield dealer, with a service conducted at the memorial to those who died in the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. The ride is free and open to everyone.

Motorcycle Sunday
The Warehouse Church in Aurora sponsors Motorcycle Sunday annually. Activities include a bike rally, bike shops, bike blessings, live music, safety presentations, food vendors and a 60-mile ride. The event started in 2000.

Star Foundation Chapter 394
The Chicago chapter of the Star Foundation is a family-oriented motorcycle club that sponsors weekly rides during the riding season and other activities during the rest of the year. The rides are open to anyone with a motorcycle regardless of the make.
