Southeastern Wisconsin is home to the state's largest city, Milwaukee, as well as the city of Kenosha. Tourists in southeastern Wisconsin can enjoy numerous attractions, such as the Captain Frederick Pabst Mansion, the Harley-Davidson Museum, the Dinosaur Discovery Museum and the Kenosha Civil War Museums. General Mitchell International Airport
Located along South Howell Avenue in Milwaukee, General Mitchell International Airport is approximately 11 miles south of downtown. Operated by Milwaukee County, the airport has borne the name of U.S. General William Mitchell since 1941. Each month more than 800,000 passengers take-off or land at the airport, which services 40 U.S. cities like Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado and Boston, Massachusetts. The commercial flights departing from the airport also have connections available to numerous international locations. The airport had been named one of the top five airports by the readers "Conde Nast Traveler" for three years in a row as of September 2010. For parking, the airport offers hourly, daily and long-term lots as well as an area for drivers waiting to pick-up passengers. Eight car rental companies offer shuttles to and from the airport and public buses and taxis also service the area. An Amtrak station is adjacent to the airport for rail travel.

Capitol Airport
Established in May 1948, Capitol Airport is in the southeastern Wisconsin community of Brookfield, approximately 18 miles northeast of Milwaukee. The airport is privately owned and operated by Wisconsin Aviation Investments. Although the facility receives no commercial flights, it is open to the public. Each day roughly 41 planes land or depart from the airport, with about two-thirds of those being regularly scheduled flights, such as cargo planes carrying deliveries that visit the airport once or twice per week, according to AirNav.com. The airport has three runways available. From April through October, the airport is attended by staff and crew from 8:00 a.m. until dusk, and from November through March, the airport becomes unattended at 6:00 p.m.

Kenosha Regional Airport
Owned and operated by the city of Kenosha, the Kenosha Regional Airport is around 4 miles east of the town. The airport opened in May 1959 and is open to the public. No commercial flights take off or depart from the airport. In 2009, the the facility had 57,075 takeoffs and landings, according to the City of Kenosha's website. The airport receives an average of 180 take-offs and landings per day a little less than half of which is transient or non-regular-scheduled flights, explains AirNav.com. The largest planes that utilize the airport are 30-seat corporate jets. Kenosha Regional Airport has three runways, and is attended from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., year-round.
