Dress A Toddler For Snow

Dress a Toddler for Snow

The difficult part of dressing a toddler lies in keeping his attention. Dressing children for snow is no exception. Keep in mind that a toddler's body temperature is the same as an adults, so they will not need any more clothing.

Instructions

1. Start with a pair of thin pajamas or thermal underwear. Use two layers of pajamas or thermals for extreme temperatures. Follow with a fleece top and bottom.

2. Put thick socks on the child's feet. Use several pairs of thin socks if thick socks are unavailable.

3. Put snow pants or bibs on over the fleece bottoms. Use bib overalls for the best coverage. They will keep little backs covered when jackets come up.

4. Put a pair of thin knit gloves on the toddlers hands. Put a pair of thick, waterproof snow gloves over the knit gloves.

5. Put a snow jacket on the child. Always do this after the gloves are on the child.

6. Pull the snow pant legs up. Put snow boots on the child, tucking the pajamas and sweat bottoms inside the boots. Pull the snow pants over the outside of the boots.

7. Put a thick knit or fleece hat on the child's head. Put the jacket hood over the top of the hat and fasten around the child's chin.
