Troubleshoot A Terk Hd Inside Antenna

Watch free over-the-air TV using the Terk HDTVi.

The Terk HDTVi is an indoor high definition UHF antenna, which allows you to receive over-the-air transmissions from various television stations. This means that you can watch many channels without having to subscribe to a cable or satellite television service. Over time, however you may run into issues using your Terk HDTVi antenna. Fortunately, many of these issues are easily correctable.

Instructions

1. Move your Terk HDTVi antenna away from any metal objects or enclosures. These objects will block your antenna from receiving signal from the transmission towers. Try moving the antenna closer to a window so that it has a better chance of picking up a signal.

2. Change your TV's tuner mode to "Antenna" if you do not receive a channel higher than 13. Open your television's main menu by pressing the "Menu" button on your remote. Click on the option titled "ANT/AIR." Exit the menu by pressing the "Menu button and enter in a channel higher than 13 to verify that you are receiving the channels.

3. Place your Terk HDTVi antenna as close to the roof as possible, as your antenna will not receive a strong signal in low-lying rooms, such as the basement due to interference from insulation.
