Hostels Near Edgewater Chicago

Edgewater is a lakefront community on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois. The area is home to Lincoln Park -- the largest park in Chicago -- as well as cultural attractions like the Swedish American Museum. Edgewater and its neighboring communities are home to several hostels with proximity to many of Chicago's tourist attractions.


Chicago International Hostel


Chicago International Hostel has the distinction of being the only hostel located within the Edgewater neighborhood. Situated within walking distance of both Lake Michigan and Loyola University, the hostel offers in-room Wi-Fi, security lockers, a common room and a common kitchen. The hostel is also located less than two blocks from the Granville Red Line station. Dining options nearby include Hamilton's Bar and Grill, Vee-Vee's African Restaurant, Habibi Restaurant, Summer Noodle and Rice and Blue Elephant Kitchen.


HI Chicago


Hostelling International Chicago or HI Chicago is located in downtown Chicago just one block from Grant Park and Millennium Park. The hostel offers free wireless Internet access and free breakfast each morning for guests, and guests under 18 are welcome when accompanied by an adult. The maximum length of stay at the hostel is 14 days as of February 2011. Local attractions near the hostel include the Field Museum, the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Adler Planetarium, Willis Tower and the Hancock Building. Chicago Getaway Hostel


Located south of Edgewater in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, the Chicago Getaway Hostel offers guests access to an on-site barbecue grill, private rooms, outdoor patio, pool and foosball tables, free continental breakfast daily and a self service kitchen. The hostel allows drinking but does not provide alcohol. The hostel also offers 24 hour access with no curfew, computer stations and Wi-Fi connectivity and access to bike rentals. Nearby attractions include the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. AWA Chicago City Center


The AWA Hostel requires that all guests be over the age of 21 or be accompanied by at least one individual of that age. The hostel offers free on-site parking, free unlimited local calls, free Wi-Fi access, televisions in each room and an on-site restaurant. As of 2011, guests must make cancellations within 48 hours of their stay or be charged for the first night. Nearby off-site dining includes O'Brien's Restaurant and Bar, Timothy O'Toole's Pub, Hidden Shamrock, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Atwood Caf and the Rockit Bar and Grill. AAE Chicago Parthenon Inn & Hostel


Located in the heart of Chicago's Greektown neighborhood, the AAE Chicago Parthenon Hostel sits two blocks from Union Station, steps away from CTA stops, and offers both cooperative share rooms and private rooms.
