Convert My Pencam Trio To A Webcam

Using your Pencam trio as a webcam can help you keep in touch with friends and family.

A Pencam trio is a hand held device that can be used as a PC Camera, digital camera, and video recorder, all in one compact package. You can use it as a webcam with your voice over Internet protocol software such as Skype or Yahoo Messenger. This way your friends and family can see you as well as speak to you while you are chatting online.

Instructions

1. Install the drivers by inserting the CD rom that came with your Pencam into the drive of your computer. When you are asked if you would like to install the software click "Yes." Wait for the software to install and then reboot your computer.

2. Connect your Pencam to your computer using the USB cable that came with it. Wait for your computer's operating system to recognize the device and find the drivers that you installed.

3. Go to the "Start Menu" and open up the voice over Internet protocol (VOIP) software that you use for chatting with your friends. If you don't have one, a few that you can consider using are Skype, MSN Live, and Yahoo Messenger (see resource links).

4. Go to "Tools" then "Options" at the top of the tool bar. Select "Video Settings." Select the "Pencam Trio" as your webcam and click "Save." Now whenever you make a video call, the Pencam will activate as your webcam.
