Unlock The Control On A Whirlpool Duet

Whirlpool Duet washing machines feature a control lock that, when enabled, renders the buttons on the control panel inoperable. The control lock is a safety device that prevents accidental operation. The lock was created to keep children from using the washing machine unsupervised, which could lead to injury. Before you can use the Whirlpool Duet washing machine again, you need to disable the control lock. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Press any of the buttons on the control panel to see if the buttons are operational or check to see if the "Control Locked" indicator light is lit. If the control panel is operational, you may mistakenly lock the door.

2. Press and hold the "End of Cycle Signal" button for approximately three seconds until the "Control Locked" indicator light shuts off. The control panel is now unlocked, and the washer is ready for use.

3. Lock the washer again by pressing and holding the "End of Cycle Signal" button until the "Control Locked" indicator light turns on.
