Cabins In Alma Wisconsin

The fall colors along the Mississippi provide a beautiful backdrop while staying at a cabin in Alma.


Alma, Wisconsin is located atop the limestone bluffs along the Minnesota and Wisconsin border. Positioned beside the Mississippi riverfront, it is an ideal getaway. Visitors come to Alma to enjoy the seasonal colors, historic downtown, fishing and birdwatching. There are many cabins located in the area that cater to passing travelers or those looking for an extended stay at a peaceful retreat.


Cedar Ridge Resort


Cedar Ridge Resort is made up of four cabin properties located on the shore between Alma and Nelson, Wisconsin: the River Stone, the Log Home, the Loft and the Cottages. All the cabins and cottages offer views of the bluffs from the Mississippi River Valley. The River Stone is the largest cabin, comprised of 2600 square feet that include two kitchens and four separate bedrooms. The River Stone can sleep 18 to 20 people. Smaller groups can also reserve one side of the cabin. The Log Home and the Loft sleep 11 to 12 people. The two cottages include two bedrooms with full-sized beds. Free wireless Internet and cable television with HBO are available at all of the properties.


Cedar Ridge is open all year, offering convenient access to local hiking trails, eagle watching, boating, snowmobiling and skiing. The resort offers multiple outdoor picnic areas and large cabin patios.


Reidt's Motel & Cabins


Reidt's Motel & Cabins is a family-owned motel with several units near the historic railroad that runs along the Mississippi river. Amenities include a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot and television. The properties were recently renovated and offer a family-friendly environment; activities include winter sports, spring birdwatching and summer boating. The motel is located near the Rieck Lake Park camping area of Alma.


Hillcrest Motel and Cabins


Hillcrest Motel is made up of seven hotel units and two cabins along the river. Cable television is provided, along with a community kitchen, pool and outdoor recreation facilities. A private dock and facilities for fish cleaning are also available for boaters. The property at Hillcrest includes a large parking lot for guests with boats and is an ideal setting for cyclists, rock climbers and hikers to enjoy the natural surroundings.
