UAF Tanana Valley Campus offers a culinary arts program.
University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Tanana Valley Campus is a community college that offers one-year certificates, two-year associate degree programs, and specialized training in high-demand fields of employment. Programs include emergency medical services, drafting technology, culinary arts, automotive technology, early childhood certification and many more. Shuttle service is available, as are evening and weekend classes.

Center for Employment Education
The Center for Employment Education provides training in commercial driving.
The Center for Employment Education offers training in commercial driving courses for class A, B, C, and passenger as well as hazardous material training and defensive driving instruction. They also provide training in construction technology for light, medium and heavy duty equipment.
An Alaskan driver's license and Department of Transportation physical are required before registering for any classes. The Center for Employment Education does not offer individualized job placement. Instead, students will be given information on hiring trends; a list of potential job websites and Alaskan job centers; and a list of names and addresses of potential employers.

Carpenterrs Training Center
Carpenters Training Center offers hands-on experience and classroom training.
Fairbanks Alaska Carpenters Training Center offers training and apprenticeships for carpenters, millwrights, and journeymen skill upgrades. The program provides both time in the classroom as well as opportunities to learn on the job. You must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a resident of Alaska.
Classes usually begin in May and are held Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuition is $750, due on the first day of classes, and covers the costs of books and your first-year tools. However, you are responsible for providing your own work clothing, gloves, steel-toed boots, and rain gear. After four weeks of classes, you will be placed as an apprentice carpenter to various union construction companies. During your apprentice work, you will earn a beginning wage of $19 an hour. For every 900 hours you complete as an apprentice carpenter, you will receive a 5% pay increase. You will work as an apprentice for between 6,000 and 8,000 hours before you receive a journeyman's certificate.
