Restore an Acer 6930 Without a Disk
If something has gone wrong with the version of Windows installed on your Acer 6930 laptop computer, you don't need a Windows recovery CD in order to restore your machine to working order. The 6930 has a built-in recovery partition that can be used for this exact purpose. You can easily access this recovery partition while your computer is booting up.
Instructions
1. Press the "ALT" and "F10" keys as your Acer 6930 is starting up to launch the computer's built-in recovery utility.
2. Select the "Restore" option. This option allows you to reinstall Windows on top of Windows, which will fix your computer's problems without damaging or deleting your personal files.
3. Select "Next" to read a warning screen detailing the exact process that is about to happen to your Acer 6930.
4. Click "Finish." Your Acer 6930 will restore the version of Windows that is currently installed to its proper working order. When this process finishes, your Acer 6930 will automatically reboot, and you can use your computer once again.
