Drag Specialties
is one of the largest aftermarket motorcycle parts suppliers in the United States, providing virtually any part that a Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe owner could need or want for personalizing his machine. Most of the parts will enhance the Softail Deluxe's power or its vintage styling, but do little to improve the rider's comfort. To answer this problem, Drag Specialties offers a variety of seats that look just as good as they feel. Installing one of these seats is a bolt-on affair, since the majority of the seating options use the Deluxe's stock seating arrangement.
Instructions
1. Unscrew the bolt from the base of the rear seat's bracket, using a socket wrench. Lift the seat and pull it out of the catch on the front seat's mounting bracket.
2. Unscrew both bolts from the front seat's mounting bracket, using a socket wrench. Lift the seat up and pull it away from the slot cut into the motorcycle's frame, positioned below the gas tank.
3. Slide the tab on the front of the Drag Specialties seat into the frame's slot, then lower the seat onto the motorcycle's frame and rear fender. Screw the bolts into the seat's mounting bracket, using a socket wrench.
4. Install the Drag Specialties passenger seat onto the motorcycle. Slide the tab on the front of the seat into the catch on the front seat's bracket. Lower the seat onto the rear fender and tighten its mounting bolt with a socket wrench. Skip this step if you are installing a one-piece seat or a solo seat.
