Also equipped with the capability to shoot video footage in 720p HD, this camera contains 50 MB of internal memory and a 3-inch LCD monitor for the user to view newly-shot video footage with. This camera contains a compact design and is available to the consumer in both black and silver models.


Canon PowerShot SX1 IS


Weighing in at just over one pound and equipped with a 2.8 LCD monitor, the Canon PowerShot SX1 IS digital camera was released to the public in March of 2009. The camera contains a a 20x zoom lens along with the capability of shooting video images in 720p and 1080p HD. Some of the other highlights of this camera include a review button on the back of the unit so that the user can review a small segment of HD video immediately after shooting the footage. Constructed out of a light metal base and matte black plastic material, this camera can be easily handled and gripped. The PowerShot SX1 IS also contains a dedicated movie record button that the user presses to switch between HD movie mode and standard digital still photography.


Olympus Pen E-P1


Containing a built-in TruePic V image processor that helps to create vivid imaging for digital stills even in darker environments, the Olympus Pen E-P1 digital camera also features linear PCM sound recording. This special recording hardware allows the user to integrate musical scores and other tunes directly into personal home video footage while using the camera's 720p HD recording mode. Released to the marketplace by the Olympus corporation in July of 2009, this camera also contains a 3-inch LCD monitor that allows for quick movie footage review by the user. The camera's dual control dials allow the user to quickly focus the camera lens while switching between shooting in HD movie mode and standard digital mode.
