Zune players can be customized with different headphones.
The Zune HD boasts a touchscreen display, a video out port, wireless synchronization, a radio and of course, an MP3 player. It was originally released by Microsoft in September 2009 and is now available in 16, 32 and 64GB versions. Although not as ubiquitous as a certain other brand of media player, the Zune HD has proved to be incredibly popular. If you have friends who have the same player as you, you can customize your player to help you stand out from your crowd.
Instructions
1. Download and apply a custom skin. Touch "Internet" from the "Home menu", and navigate to sites like Zunewallpaper.com, Skinit.com, Decalgirl.com or just run a search for "Zune skin". Some sites allow you to create your own skins.
2. Purchase a new, colorful set of headphones for your Zune HD. The headphones that media players are sold with are not known for the best audio quality. Visit a local audio visual store, or go online and search for some high-quality and visually distinctive earbuds to replace those that shipped with your Zune.
3. Engrave your Zune HD. Take it to a local jewellery store and ask them to etch a design or text on the back of it. If you're buying a new Zune you can have it engraved before it ships if bought from the Zune Originals online store. Alternatively you can send your player to a laser engraver like Perfectetch.com or Affordableengravingmilwaukie.com. You should contact a laser engraver to inquire about prices and arrange shipping.
4. Paint your Zune with colorful metal paint. You can add a design or just text in as many colors as you like.
5. Glue acrylic jewellery to the back of your Zune. Although not quite as striking as having your player engraved, it will make your it look unique.
