Start The Engine On A Harley Ultra Classic

Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycles feature electronic ignition.

Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycles are large-bore, aluminum, 45 degree V-twin motorcycles with electronic ignition. With their state-of-the-art, on-board computer system, they are remarkably easy to start. At the press of a button, the engine will prime itself, preparing the fuel-injection system and fuel pump for a quick start. Simply follow the manufacturer's guidelines on power up your ride and you will be on the road in no time.

Instructions

1. Unlock the ignition switch with your bike's barrel ignition key. Rotate the switch to "Ignition."

2. Press the "Run/Stop" switch on the right handlebar control to the "Run" position.

3. Wait for the red, engine-shaped light on the tachometer to stop glowing.

4. Pull the clutch lever all of the way in. Press the "Start" button. The engine should now start. If not, wait a few seconds and perform the procedure again.
