Paint A Motorcycle Jacket

Painting a motorcycle jacket, much like any other painting project, is limited primarily by your imagination and artistic ability. However, there are a few basic steps that just about anyone can take to add color and personality to your favorite jacket, whether it is made from leather, denim, canvas, or some other material. The most important thing is to make sure the paint you purchase is designed for use on the jacket's material. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Clean the jacket with a cleanser or detergent appropriate for the fabric, according to the instructions on the cleanser's packaging. If machine washing the jacket, do not add fabric softener. Make certain that the jacket is completely dry before proceeding.

2. Apply the paint to the jacket according to the instructions on the packaging. Some fabric paints are squeezed directly on to the fabric from the bottle, while others can be applied with a brush or sponge.

3. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving or wearing the jacket. Consult the paint's packaging to determine how long you should wait, as the surface of the paint may dry to the touch before it has fully dried all the way through.
