Make A Norton Ghost Boot Disk 10 0

Norton Ghost 10.0 is a full system backup application. It will back up all data that are stored on your computer's hard drive or drive partition. Version 10.0 was the first to include support for information stored on CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW drives, as well as USB, Firewire and other portable media-storage devices. Norton Ghost is also able to back up information to a remote server to free the network administrator from having to physically be present when the computer is being backed up. A common task for Norton Ghost 10.0 is creating a boot disk for your computer.

Instructions

1. Insert a blank DVD or CD into the disk drive on your computer. Select "Cancel" on the default Windows setting that displays on your computer.

2. Open Norton Ghost 10. Then, select the Norton Ghost "Tasks" menu option.

3. Choose the "Create Ghost Recovery Disk" menu from the menu options.

4. Select the "Next" button followed by the "Automatic" menu choice on the subsequent Ghost menu options.

5. Choose the "Browse" menu option for selecting the location of the drive to write the boot disk and select your CD/DVD drive followed by the "Next" menu button. After the recovery disk is finished being written to, single left-click the "Finish" button to complete the Ghost 10.0 boot disk creation.
