Southeast Florida Campgrounds

Campgrounds are available near Miami Beach.


Southeast Florida is home to some of the state's most popular beaches, such as those in Miami, the Everglades and the Florida Keys. Campgrounds are conveniently located near many of the most-visited beaches. They feature activities like fishing and biking and modern amenities like wireless Internet and cable television hookups.


Miami Area


Full hookup campgrounds are located near Miami.


Camp near the beaches of Miami at Larry and Penny Thompson Park. Located on nearly 300 acres near Miami Metrozoo and Biscayne Bay, the park features hiking trails, full hookups and picnic areas for RVs and tents, pet areas and a lake. Sites are available for rent with daily, weekly and monthly rates. In nearby Hollywood, across from the Seminole Indian Gaming Casino, Seminole Park specializes in large RV sites; it also features two heated pools and paved lots.


Everglades


Camping is available year-round in the Everglades National Park.


West of Miami and the popular beach towns, camping is available in the Everglades National Park. Guests can camp all year long in the frontcountry campgrounds, which are two drive-in sites for tents and RVs with electrical hookups, and the backcountry area, which is mostly accessible by boat or hiking. The park offers fishing, boating, hiking and tours. About 10 miles from the park, Miami Everglades Resort features campsites, cabins and recreational facilities.


The Keys


Campgrounds are available all along the Florida Keys.


In the Florida Keys, you will find campgrounds spread over each of the islands. The KOA Kampground near Key West offers boat rentals and water activities, a hot tub and full hookups. In Key Largo, the Riptide RV Park rents tent, RV and waterfront sites with daily, weekly and monthly rates near lounges and water sports. The Jolly Roger Travel Park in Grassy Key has a boat dock and harbor, pet areas and a pavilion.


Fort Lauderdale


Waterfront and inland campsites are offered in Fort Lauderdale.


North of Miami in Fort Lauderdale, inland campgrounds welcome visitors year-round. At Paradise Island RV Resort, more than 200 full hookup sites are available; the camp offers a lounge, recreational areas and special events throughout the year. Yacht Haven Park and Marina sits on 20 acres and is convenient to Interstate 95. Year-round camping is available at water or inland sites.
