Customize your folder icons in Mac OSX.
Mac OSX is an operating system that is known for its simplicity and ease of use. You can customize many aspects of the operating system like changing folder icons. You can change a folder icon by copying existing icons from any other volume, file, folder or application. The process for changing folder icons can also be used interchangeably among volumes, files, folders and applications.
Instructions
1. Locate a source for your new folder icon. Click "Finder" in your dock and find a file, folder or application you want to use as a source for your folder icon.
2. Click the file, folder or icon and press "Command" and "I" on your keyboard to open the "Get Info" menu.
3. Click the icon in the top-left corner of the "Get Info" window. Then click the "Edit" menu at the top of the screen and select "Copy." Close the "Get Info" window by clicking the red "X" in the left corner of the window.
4. Locate the folder that you want to give a new icon.
5. Click the folder to select it. Press "Command" and "I" to open the "Get Info" menu for the folder.
6. Click the icon in the top-left corner of the "Get Info" menu. Click "Edit" and then "Paste." The new icon now replaces the old folder icon.
