The Specifications On A 2006 Harleydavidson Fxdl

The 2006 FXDL is part of the Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider series. The FXDL was first released in 1995, succeeding the Harley FXR series, and the 2006 FXDL featured redesigned wheels and instrument cluster. It was designed for riders who prefer comfort and easy handling along with the traditional Harley look and feel. The 2006 Harley-Davidson FXDL had an original manufacturer's suggested retail price of $15,620.


Characteristics


The FXDL is equipped with a low-slung custom seat that is 25.8 inches high. The FXDL comes standard with pull-back handlebars, providing a low center of gravity and a long and low appearance associated with a Harley. It is available in 10 color combinations. The Dyna Low Rider has a ground clearance of 5.6 inches. Key features include a 1.77-inch polished aluminum front fork mounted at a 30.5-degree angle and a rake of 29 degrees, mid-mounted foot controls and highway pegs.


Features


Features added to the FXDL for the 2006 model year include indicator lights on the handlebars, a wrap-around rear fender, tank-mounted instrument panel with a resettable trip meter, a diagnostic readout, fuel gauge and a new tank decal. It also comes with a single floating brake rotor that allows more of the 10-spoke wheels to be seen. Other features include a chrome-staggered "shorty" dual exhaust system, electronic start, self-canceling signal lights and a quartz halogen headlight.


Performance


The FXDL runs on a vibration-isolated, Twin Cam 88 engine, which is a 1,450-cubic-centimeter (88-cubic-inch), four-stroke engine. It uses an electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI) system. The 2006 FXDL has a six-speed cruise-drive transmission and has a top speed of 109 miles per hour. Gas consumption averages about 50 miles per gallon on highways and 44 mpg on city roads.
