Omnia Hd Specifications

The Samsung Omnia HD, also known as the i8910, is a smart phone released in 2009 for the European and Asian markets. It runs on the Symbian OS network, and features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability. An unlocked version of the phone is available for purchase in the United States, but depending on the carrier, may not include 3G. The Omnia HD has an array of features, and is the first mobile phone to offer high-definition video recording.


Physical Dimensions


The Samsung Omnia HD is a candy bar phone with slightly rounded edges. It is 4.84 inches in length, 2.28 inches in width, 5.07 oz in weight and 0.51 inches in depth.


Display


The Omnia HD has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, with a QHD super vivid AMOLED (active matrix OLED) display. It provides 360-by-640 pixel resolution. It also features a built-in accelerometer that changes the screen from portrait to landscape when the phone is rotated.


Messaging and Call Features


The smart phone offers voice mail, voice memo, speakerphone, video calling and caller ID. Messaging features include text messaging, video messaging, instant messaging, email, calendar and predictive text.


Camera and Video


The Omnia HD has an 8 mega-pixel digital camera, with four-times digital zoom, power LED flash and auto-focus. Shot modes include face detection, smile shot, blink shot, panorama shot, timer shot, mosaic shot and night mode. Photo effects are gray, sepia, negative, emboss and photo frame. The HD video player supports DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, WMV, MPEG4 and RV formats. Editing features include video trim, audio dubbing, live dubbing, image capture and subtitle capability.


Memory and Power


The Omnia HD smart phone has either 8GB or 16GB of memory, expandable to 32GB. The 1500mAh battery has a talk time of 13 hours and standby time of 600 hours.
