A higher range antenna will be able to pick up signals from farther away, and it will also amplify weak signals to provide the best picture quality possible.
4. Consider buying an outdoor digital HDTV antenna. An outdoor antenna mounted on the roof of your home or outside your apartment will always provide a clearer picture than one placed indoors. This is because there is less obstructing the antenna from receiving television signals outside than there is inside. However, an outdoor antenna will cost a great deal more than a standard indoor antenna. It also may not be practical given your living situation.

If a motor mount on your Harley is vibrating, the motor mount is loose or the securing bolt holding the motor mount in place is stripped. The motor mount(s) will be located toward the front of the Harley's engine, on the bottom of the engine between the frame and the engine. Some Harley motorcycle models with large engines have two motor mounts, However, most Harley models have one motor mount and one transmission mount.
Instructions
1. Place the motorcycle jack beneath the engine block and raise the jack head up to the engine block to take the weight of the engine off the motor mount. If the Harley has two motor mounts, determine which mount that is vibrating.
2. Remove the motor mount securing bolt from the center of the motor mount using the ratchet set. Pull the the securing bolt from the mount.
3. Inspect the securing bolt. Look for stripping of the bolt, rust, bending or any other damage. If the bolt is damaged, replace it. Any local Harley-Davidson dealership should have the replacement bolt.
4. Replace the securing bolt to the motor mount and tighten the securing bolt using the ratchet set. Tighten the bolt so that the mount cannot move.
5. Start the engine and rev the engine a few times to ensure that the mount is tight enough that the mount is no longer vibrating.

The 2004 Harley-Davidson XL883 and XL1200 Sportster models rely on a their batteries to provide the initial power needed to start their engines. These batteries are fairly robust and can provide years of reliable service if maintained properly. However, neglect and extended periods of storage can permanently sap the battery of its charge. While the process of removing and replacing the battery from either model is fairly simple, the battery cables must be removed and attached in a specific order to avoid a nasty electrical shock that can harm both you and your bike.
Instructions
1. Unscrew the mounting bolt from the rear of your Sportster's seat, using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the seat up and away from the gas tank.
2. Grasp the left frame cover, positioned below the left frame rail, with both hands. Lift the cover off the tabs near the left seat rail, then pull the cover toward you until it is free from the tab at the base of the cover.
3. Unscrew the terminal nut attaching the negative (-) battery cable to the engine's crankcase, located behind the engine's rear cylinder and the primary drive case, using a 10 mm socket and a socket wrench. Lift the negative (-) cable off of the crankcase ground terminal.
4. Unscrew the battery box strap bolt, positioned under the left seat rail, using a 3/8-inch socket and a socket wrench. Lift the strap up, then pull the battery toward you to access the battery terminals and cables.
5. Unscrew the negative battery cable's bolt with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the negative cable away from the battery and frame, then unscrew the positive battery cable's bolt. Pull the positive battery cable away, then pull the battery out of the battery box.
6. Push a new, fully-charged 12-volt, 20-amp/hour battery into the battery box. Place the positive battery cable over the battery's positive terminal, then screw the cable bolt into place with a Phillips screwdriver. Attach the negative battery cable to the battery's negative terminal.
7. Reattach the other end of the negative cable to the crankcase ground terminal.
8. Lower the battery box strap over the battery, then screw the strap bolt into place with a 3/8-inch socket and a socket wrench.
9. Hold the left frame cover against your Sportster's frame. Slip the slots cut into the top of the cover over the tabs built into the left seat rail, then press the bottom of the cover over the frame's tab.

Winter weather can be harsh on chrome wheels if they are not properly protected. The best way to protect them is to remove them from the vehicle and store them for the winter. If this is not possible, or you prefer to continue using your sporty chrome wheels, you can take steps to protect them from the winter weather. These steps must occur before the winter weather is upon you, and throughout the winter as well.
Instructions
1. Clean the chrome wheels before winter weather arrives. Wash the wheels thoroughly with hot soapy water. Rinse them and dry well with a soft cloth. Re-clean the wheels with a good quality chrome cleaner from an auto parts store. This will ensure that you have removed all dirt and road grime.
2. Polish the chrome wheels with a quality brand of chrome polish or car polish. Apply a heavy coat and let it dry, then buff to a shine. Add a second coat of polish for even greater protection against the elements.
3. Wash the wheels off right after you drive on winter roads. Road crews apply a salt brine to winter roads to melt the snow and ice. This salt brine may help you to drive but it will eventually ruin your chrome wheels. The entire car should be washed to remove all of the salt brine, but if not, wash the salt from the chrome.
4. Re-apply the chrome polish several times throughout the winter, depending on how often you drive on the salted roads. Salt will dry out and adhere to the wheels' surface. It will eventually eat through the polish and pit or flake the chrome. This may cause the chrome wheels to rust. Cleaning the wheels regularly and re-applying polish can help avoid this.
5. Run the entire car through a car-wash immediately after driving on salt-covered roads, if possible. The hot water the car wash uses will help dissolve any salt particles that get caught in the wheels.
6. Keep the chrome wheels cleaned and polished all year long for added protection. This way you won't have any small pits or flakes forming that snow and salt can get trapped in and cause more damage. Preventative maintenance is the best way to protect your chrome wheels in the winter, and all year round.

6. Large sporting goods stores will carry bicycles but may not offer you the personalized help you may want or need. If you plan on buying a bike at one of these stores, your best bet is to bring a friend who knows about bikes. Very often these stores will have coupons in the local paper or on line so check these sources before shopping.
7. When shopping at large retailers another way to save money is to open a credit card account with them. They very often have discounts for new credit card holders. If you plan on paying the balance off in full, this will benefit you. If you don't plan to pay this off immediately this could actually be a big mistake and cost you lots of money. Remember, retail store charge more than 20% interest, and let's not forget the late fees!
8. Your local bike shop is likely to charge you a bit more money than anywhere else you shop but if you buy last years model, you can save big at these shops. Let them know if you've seen the bicycle elsewhere for cheaper, they may negotiate the price.

Does your GM car or truck Radio display LOC and does not turn on? Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac, Oldsmobile vehicles used a theft system to lock the radio when power is lost. This system was used from the ealy 1990's to the early 2000's.
Instructions
1. If your radio displays the word LOC, you can retrieve a set of factory numbers in the radio that enable you to get a backup unlock code. If the radio says INOP, you will have to leave the key in the "ON" position, or let the car run for at least 1 hour before you attempt any unlock procedure. INOP means a secondary theft lock due to too many false attempts to unlock the radio.
2. Looking at the face of your GM Delco radio, hold down the preset buttons 1 & 4 OR 2 & 3 (Depending on year and model) for approximately 10 seconds or until a set of 2 or 3 numbers comes up on the display. Write the numbers down.
3. Next press the AM / FM button. A new set of 3 numbers will now show. Write these numbers down. You will then need to call a 1-800 phone number with these numbers to get the unlock code. There are many sites on the internet that can get it for you- for a small fee. Or, try calling your local GM Dealer and ask for them to do it. Many times they will do it for free. It only takes a minute.
4. Once you have the unlock code, enter it by pressing the MIN button until the display shows the last 2 digits of the unlock code, then press the HR button until the first 2 numbers or shown. Then press the AM / FM button to enter the code. The radio will now display SEC, and normal function is restored.
A multimeter is the best tool for testing the battery on your 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The electrical system on a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle is comprised of a number of parts and components, such as the ignition, lighting, and charging systems; these systems allow the motorcycle to operate. The motorcycle relies on a fully-charged battery to power these components. However, if the battery is not sufficiently charged, or has lost its ability to maintain a charge, the motorcycle will be incapacitated. Checking the battery often, with the aid of a multimeter, can prevent problems before they arise.
Instructions
1. Locate the battery on your motorcycle. Softail and touring models house their battery under the rider's seat, requiring you to unbolt the seat from the frame. Use an Allen socket to remove the bolts, and lift the rear of the seat upwards. Pull the seat towards the rear of the motorcycle to disengage the seat tabs, then pull the seat away.
Alternatively, Sportster and Dyna models place the battery in a tray on the left side of the motorcycle. Pull the frame's side cover away from the motorcycle to access the battery.
2. Prepare your multimeter. Set the multimeter to DC (Direct Current) at an "X1" range. Connect the red lead to the multimeter's "V" or "+" port. Connect the black lead to the multimeter's "COM" port.
3. Place the ignition switch in the "Off" position. Connect the multimeter's red lead to the battery's positive (+) terminal, followed by the black lead on the negative (-) terminal. The multimeter should indicate a voltage between 00.00 and 13.00 volts. An adequate voltage for a Harley-Davidson battery is 12.2 to 13.00 volts. Remove the black lead from the battery first, followed by the red lead.
4. Charge the battery with an automatic battery charger if the battery's voltage is less than 12 volts. Test the battery with your multimeter again. If the battery's voltage remains below 12 volts, replace the battery.
Men need to get their total body fat under 10 percent to get six-pack abs. Women need to reduce it to 15 percent or less.
Everyone wants a flat stomach. To have defined "six-pack abs" is even more desirable. So how do you go about getting that super-cut look? Is it possible to get that toned in just two weeks? There are numerous books, videos and gadgets on the market that claim to do just that. Some even state that you just need a few minutes a day. Others go so far to claim it is as simple as taking a fat-burning pill, and that you can continue to eat all you want and not exercise. But how realistic are these claims? Learn the common misconceptions about getting in shape, and the proper way to get toned abdominal muscles.

1. Understand the anatomy of the abdominal muscles. Your abs are located in the midsection of your body. They are made up of the transverse abdominus, rectus abdominus, internal obliques and external obliques. The transverse abdominus is a deep muscle. It wraps around the entire abdominal area and helps to stabilize the trunk. The internal and external obliques are located along the sides of the rectus abdominus, and assist the body with lateral, or bending and twisting, movements. On top of the transverse abdominus and in between the obliques is the rectus abdominus. It is divided into right and left sides and is in sections. It is a well-toned rectus abdominus that creates that six-pack look.
Having well-toned abs is not just important for appearance: Strong abdominal muscles help you maintain better posture and balance, and prevent back pain and injury. Your abdominal muscles are the core of your body. If your center is strong, it will support you as you move through daily activities and recreation.
2. Avoid common misconceptions. Performing situps is not the only requirement for obtaining flat or defined abdominal muscles. While doing exercises targeted to the abdominal muscles can make them stronger, you cannot spot reduce. It is also important to do a variety of movements. Since the abdominal muscles are large, you cannot effectively train the entire muscle or create that six-pack look by doing just one exercise. You must have a routine that takes your abdominal muscles through a variety of movements to fully sculpt and train them.
Also, to develop that six-pack look you must be within a healthy weight range and have a low percentage of body fat. Your body fat needs to be at 10 percent or lower for men, and at 15 percent or lower for women. So unless you fall into this category, six-pack abs are out of reach. There are many home scales that will measure your percentage of body fat, and many health clubs and gyms offer this service. If you purchase a home model, make sure you follow the directions exactly to get accurate results. These scales are not 100 percent accurate, but they will give you a basic measurement, and you can use them to track your progress.
In addition, with any form of strength training, results are usually not seen for four to eight weeks, depending on the intensity of your training routine.
If you are at the required body fat percentage and you have been working out regularly for some time, and you are doing a well-rounded abdominal workout, you may be able to see some definition happening in two weeks. Otherwise, there are steps you need to follow to develop that six-pack look. It takes time and effort to get there.
3. Reach a healthy weight and body fat composition. If you are not currently within the required percentage of body fat, you first need to shed those extra pounds. That means controlling your food intake and getting regular cardiovascular exercise for 40 to 45 minutes at least five days per week. This can include using equipment like a treadmill, elliptical machine or bike, or participating in activities like swimming, running or aerobic-exercise classes. It is not recommended that you lose anymore than 2 lbs. per week unless you are under the supervision of a doctor. Weight loss greater than this is not healthy, and shocks the body. Losing weight slowly allows the body to adjust, and the weight tends to stay off. Losing weight is hard, and it is difficult to do it alone. Joining a gym or working out with friends or coworkers makes you more likely to stick with it. There are also programs like Weight Watchers that can guide and support you in reaching your weight-loss goals in a healthy, effective and safe manner.
4. Perform crunches. Typical abdominal crunches should be included in your routine. They can be done on the floor, a weight bench, a physioball or a machine. However, you do not need equipment to get six-pack abs. If you have some weights, a Physio Ball and a basic weight bench, you can get the abs you always wanted. If you are new to exercise, start with a basic crunch like the one shown in the video in the Resources section. This is a very safe and effective exercise.
Many people complain about neck pain when first attempting to do crunches. It is not the exercise that is the problem; it is because they are doing the exercise incorrectly. You must keep your abdominal muscles engaged and your back flat against the floor. You want to keep the elbows back and open, and not pull on the head or neck to come up. It is common to see people clasp their hands behind the head and then bring the elbows together as they lift up. This will create neck pain, and will actually prohibit you from effectively isolating and shaping the abdominal muscles. This is especially true if your abdominal muscles are weak. Weak abdominal muscles cannot lift you up, and many times, people pull themselves up, which stresses the neck.
For a more advanced version, try this exercise with a weight resting on your chest, or on a bench where you can do decline sit ups, as in the photo shown here. The higher the incline, the more difficult the exercise. If you are really advanced, you can do this exercise with a weight as well.
5. Incorporate reverse crunches, another exercise that is necessary to obtaining a sculpted set of abs. As with the regular crunch, you can do this exercise on a declined bench or with a Physio Ball to make it more challenging. You can do the exercise while holding a Physio Ball between your ankles to make the exercise even harder. Try passing the ball to your hands, and lower both the arms and legs toward the floor at the same time. Then bring them back up and pass the ball back to your feet. Lower both arms and legs again. You need to keep your back flat on the floor and the abdominal muscles contracted to protect your back from injury.
6. Add some oblique exercises. The last part of your six-pack ab routine should include twisting movements to target the obliques. The photo here shows a good basic exercise. You can work your oblique muscles by lying on your back as shown here, lying on your side and lifting up, twisting while standing and sitting, or lying on an inclined bench . As with all of the above exercises, you can add weights and a Physio Ball to take them to the next level.
7. Limit the number of repetitions. You do not need to do hundreds of ab exercises to get six-pack abs. You need a variety of exercises like the ones described above, done properly. If you are really working your abs hard, you only need to do two to three sets of each exercise for 12 to 20 repetitions per set. If you feel that you need to do a lot of crunches, this usually means the exercise you are doing is not hard enough, or you are doing it improperly. The more repetitions you do, the more likely you are just using momentum and poor form. If an exercise is effective, as you do a set, you should really be feeling it after 12 to 20 repetitions.
8. Work with an experienced trainer. If you are new to exercise, working with trainer or taking a class can help get you started. The trainer can make sure you are doing the exercise properly, and can help you add variety to your routine. Since getting those six-pack abs is hard work, it may be tough to stay motivated and on track. Having to meet your trainer or show up for a class can help you establish a regular routine and get the results you are hoping for.

Riven" is the direct sequel to "Myst," one of the most well-known point-and-click adventure games ever created. Like its predecessor, "Riven" has almost no violence or outer conflict and instead relies upon atmosphere and clever puzzles to pull the player in. Unfortunately, Riven cannot run on modern computers straight out of the box due to hardware and software limitations. You can, however, tweak several game files to get the game working. It may still crash occasionally, but some functionality is at least better than none.
Instructions
1. Open the Start menu, and select "Control Panel."
2. Double-click the "Add or Remove Programs" icon---or the "Programs and Features" icon in Windows Vista---and scroll down the list of installed programs until you come across the entry for Quicktime.
3. Select "Quicktime," and uninstall it from the menu.
4. Install "Riven," and allow it to install its own version of Quicktime.
5. Download and install an updated version of Quicktime once the "Riven" install has finished. Riven will recognize the updated Quicktime player once it has finished installing.
6. Download and install the Riven 1.02 Patch. This will update the game and increase its compatibility with newer systems.
7. Open "My Computer," and go to the Riven installation directory. The default directory is "C:\Program Files\Riven."
8. Right-click the "Mohawk.w32" file in the Riven directory, and select "Open With."
9. Select "Notepad" from the list of programs, then click "OK." This will allow you to edit the "Mohawk.w32" file in Notepad.
10. Locate the line that reads "fEnableAudioProxy=true" in the file, then change it to "fEnableAudioProxy=false." This will allow "Riven" to properly utilize the Quicktime installation.
11. Save the file, and launch "Riven." It should function properly now.

Performance Machine's brake calipers can provide that final touch to any custom motorcycle, offering a relatively simple bolt-on installation that can be performed with a minimal amount of tools. Taking a few moments to cover your motorcycle's fenders and fairings can go a long way in protecting them from the risk of damage during the job. Expect the task to take a minimum of 30 minutes for a single caliper installation while dual brake setups may take as long as one hour.
Instructions
1. Pull in the brake lever to close the master cylinder's piston, preventing the brake fluid from flowing. Wrap a bungee cord around the brake lever and the handlebar to hold the lever in place.
2. Loosen the brake caliper mounting bolts on the front fork with a socket or Allen wrench. Loosen the brake line banjo bolt slightly with a socket wrench.
3. Unscrew the brake caliper bolts completely with the socket wrench. Pull the brake caliper off of the front rotor. Suspend the caliper from the handlebars with a bungee cord.
4. Slide the Performance Machine caliper over the front brake rotor and onto the front fork. Place a spacer shim between the caliper and its mounting point on the front fork, as needed, to align the caliper with the front brake rotor. Secure the caliper to the front fork with the socket or Allen wrench to tighten the caliper mounting bolts.
5. Unscrew the brake line banjo bolt from the original caliper with the socket wrench. Pull the brake line and the banjo bolt off of the caliper.
6. Remove the pair of copper crush washers from the banjo bolt and replace them with new crush washers.
7. Place the brake line onto the Performance Machine caliper and screw the banjo bolt into place with the Allen wrench.
8. Unscrew the lid of the brake master cylinder's fluid reservoir and release the brake lever. Top the fluid reservoir off with fresh brake fluid. Place a piece of clear tubing over the bleeder valve on the end of the Performance Machine caliper and place the other end of the tubing into a container.
9. Open the bleeder valve with a combination wrench. Pull in the brake lever to force a small amount of brake fluid and air out of the caliper. Release the brake lever slowly then close the bleeder valve. Continue to bleed the brake system, using this method until the brake fluid trapped in the tubing does not contain air bubbles.
10. Top off the master cylinder's fluid reservoir with fresh brake fluid before replacing the lid.

People with one motorcycle usually mount saddlebags on their bikes. Bags do not look stylish on bobbers and bar hoppers, but they are a practical place to put your rain suit, spare helmet and a few tools. They also hold your leather jacket when a cold morning becomes a hot afternoon. The motor company makes hard bags for Fatboys that fit the bikes perfectly. Numerous aftermarket outlets also sell fiberglass bags for Fatboys. They are less expensive than Harley's saddlebags, but they do not always fit as well. Most hard bags, including Harley's, require you to relocate your rear turn signals as part of the installation.
Instructions
1. Reach inside your rear fender and find the nuts on your rear fender rail bolts. Use a flashlight if needed to locate the nuts.
2. Measure the distance from an inch above your exhaust pipes to the fender rail bolts on the right side of your bike with a steel tape. The distance should equal the distance from the bottom of your saddlebag to the pre-drilled holes on the inside of your bag.
3. Use a rear turn signal relocation kit to move your turn signals from the back of the fender rails to the ends of a bar or stalk that mounts just over your tail light. The kit should include all necessary parts, hardware and wires.
4. Begin relocating the taillights by elevating the Fatboy on a motorcycle jack. The wheel must hang down so you can access the inside of the fender.
5. Unscrew the rear seat stud with an Allen wrench. Remove the seat. Disconnect the black battery cable from the negative battery terminal.
6. Remove the plastic plug from the tail lamp access hole inside the rear fender.
7. Remove the turn signal wires and connectors from the inside of the tail lamp housing, then remove the turn signal wires from the clips inside the fender. Separate the four-way turn signal socket housings from the rear lighting harness pin housings.
8. Unplug the gray four-way tail lamp connector from the mating connector in the tail lamp housing. Mark for reference with masking tape and a pen, and remove the wires from both socket housings.
9. Remove the screw at the front of the fender mounting bracket and the screw and washer at the rear of the fender mounting bracket. Remove the turn signal lamp, fender rail and mounting bracket from the Fatboy.
10. Cut one piece of heat shrink tubing into two equal sections with scissors. Slide one piece of the tubing over the turn signal wires, all the way up to the lamp housing on each side of the motorcycle. Use a heat gun to shrink the tubing.
11. Install the turn signal lamp wires through the small hole in the recess cover. Position the cover into the recess in the turn signal housing.
12. Loosely attach the hex nut and lock washer onto the turn signal relocation bracket. Loosely attach the turn signal lamp and recess cover onto the threaded end of the turn signal relocation bracket.
13. Align the relocation bracket with the rear of the fender support. Fit the round pad into the mating hole in the support.
14. Install the rear fender rail with the hardware specified in your saddlebags' mounting instructions. Install the turn signal relocation bracket to the rear fender and fender rail.
15. Aim each turn signal lens straight back. Wrench tighten the hex nut and lock washer. Complete all steps for both sides of the motorcycle.
16. Install the turn signal wires and terminals into each cavity of the turn signal socket housings.
17.Route the turn signal wires under the turn signal relocation bracket and under the rear fender edge on each side of the vehicle. Connect the turn signal socket housings to
the pin housings on the rear lighting harness.
18. Plug the gray four-way tail lamp connector on the rear lighting harness into the mating connector in the tail lamp housing under the fender. Gently push the turn signal wires and connectors into the cavity inside the tail lamp housing, and install the plastic plug
into the tail lamp access hole in the rear fender.
19. Route the turn signal wire under the signal relocation bracket and secure to the bracket with a cable tie.
20. Bolt the saddlebags to the rear fender by holding a box wrench on each fender rail nut inside the fender and turning the head of the fender rail bolt with a socket wrench. Use strong thread locker on the bolts.

The battery in your Harley-Davidson Road King should rarely need recharging because the battery tender should prevent the battery from dying. To recharge the battery, you can use jumper cables and a car's battery. Some mechanics advise against it, but Harley manuals offer instructions for the procedure. The concern some mechanics have is that the donor amperage will be too high for the bike's battery. However, motorcycle batteries have improved over the years and this is much less of a danger. One precaution further minimizes risk to your battery: not starting the donor vehicle during a jump.
Instructions
1. Check that the battery of the donor vehicle is 12 volts, like your Harley's. Otherwise, you can fry your electronics.
2. Turn off your Harley's headlight, radio and all other electrical components.
3. Move the vehicles close enough to connect them with jumper cables, but not close enough to touch and cause a misgrounding.
4. Turn off both vehicles' ignitions.
5. Remove the motorcycle's seat to gain access to the battery.
6. Put on protective gloves and safety glasses.
7. Attach one of the two red jumper cable clamps to your Harley battery's positive terminal. Attach the corresponding black cable to the Harley's negative terminal.
8. Connect the unattached red clamp to the donor vehicle's positive terminal and the corresponding black clamp to an unpainted piece of metal at least 18 inches from the battery and also away from the engine. Clamp it, for instance, to the edge of the body panel. Do not start the donor vehicle's engine.
9. Let the donor battery charge your Harley's battery for 15 minutes. Leaving the jumper cables in place, start your Harley.
10. Let your Harley run for 15 seconds before disconnecting the clamps in the reverse order in which you connected them. Let the bike idle for a few minutes before riding off, so the battery gets better charged.
11. Remove the battery later and recharge it fully with a 3-step recharger with low amperage (2 to 4 amps preferably). 3-step rechargers are best because they fully recharge the battery.

Harley-Davidson uses a gear-type oil pump to feed the bearings and bushings in the engine of the 1972 Sportster. The pump supplies low-pressure, high-volume oil flow through the various oil passages within the block, then returns the oil to the oil reservoir. A newly rebuilt engine will not have oil in the bearings or bushings, and the forces generated within the engine by the rotating and reciprocating parts can damage the new bearings and journals. The engine must be thoroughly primed with oil before running.
Instructions
1. Locate the oil reservoir to the rear of the engine below the seat on the right side of the Sportster. Remove the oil reservoir cap. Fill the oil reservoir to the "Full" mark. Install the reservoir cap.
2. Remove the hose clamp from the oil return hose, at the reservoir end, using the appropriate screwdriver to loosen the clamp. Pull the oil return hose from the return nipple on the reservoir. Lead the loose end of the oil return hose into a clean oil container.
3. Disconnect the ignition coil wires from the primary side of the ignition coil located below the fuel tank and above the engine using a wrench. Place the wires so that they cannot arc to the ignition coil terminals, any part of the frame or engine or each other.
4. Turn the engine over using the ignition switch for 10 seconds. Allow the starter to cool for one minute. Repeat as necessary until oil begins to discharge from the oil return hose.
5. Install the oil return hose onto the oil return nipple on the reservoir. Tighten the oil return hose clamp securely using a screwdriver.
6. Top off the oil in the reservoir to the "Full" mark.
7. Connect the ignition wires to the terminals on the ignition coil using a wrench.

Just as with any other vehicle, the time will come when the battery has to be changed. The procedure is simple, but be sure to use the proper safety measures to avoid harm. The placement can be a bit hard to find and without a few pointers may seem difficult to remove.

1. Open the seat and look under it for the battery access point. Most motorcycles have the battery situated under the rider's seat. Lifting the seat will let you remove the retaining strap and detach the battery from the case holder.
2. Examine the battery for any signs of damage or leakage. Over time, the battery may leak acid or build up a crust around the poles that is crystallized acid deposits. These are corrosive and can damage skin and if gotten in the eyes will lead to damage that may not be repairable.
3. Remove the battery and disconnect from the leads. To avoid sparking or shorting the battery against the frame of the motorcycle, remove the negative cable first. The shock of a battery discharge can cause severe burns and in some cases lead to a heart attack. After you remove the negative cable, then remove the positive cable.
4. Take off the sensor if the motorcycle is equipped with one and replace it at the same time you replace the battery. Clean the connection points of the cables thoroughly to remove any build up of acid or crystals.
5. Replace with the new battery in the exact reverse order as removed. Be sure when connecting the cables to connect the positive cable first and then the negative cable.

I would recommend for starters, to make 2-3minute videos, you do not want to bore you viewers to death. If I see a video that is 9 minutes, I am only going to watch it if I really like the way it is going.
8. WELL EDITED VIDEOS- I would also recommend that you spend time on a script making the video, and having your video edited, add different camera angles, music, headlines, anything. If you watch the top notch Youtubers, you will see how much work they put into editing, look at what they do like smosh or shane dawson.
9. RESPOND TO YOUR COMMENTS- Get involved with your subscribers and reply to their comments, generate some discussion and feedback. This will lead them back to the video and increasing your comment count and view count and maybe even having them subscribe. You and your viewers have to be in sync.

1. Choose a course of study. If your only passion is a particular make of motorcycle and you would like to work for a dealership or open your own specialty repair shop, then look for a school that specializes in that make. Some companies, such as Harley Davidson, have official trade schools that allow aspiring technicians to learn about a specific make. If you like all bikes, then find a generalized course of study at a trade school near you.
2. Decide on a school. Once you know where your motorcycle repair interests lie you can decide how you want to be trained. There are many distance-learning opportunities in this career field that allow you to work in your home at your pace. If you would learn better with one-on-one instruction you might prefer a trade-school setting.
3. Try to get a job in the field. Many people find that working under a professional helps in their training. Working, a few hours a day or even full time, as an assistant to a mechanic can teach you as much or more than you might learn in a school setting.
4. Keep your skills up-to-date with continuing education. Motorcycle companies, trade groups, and technical schools all offer training for the professional mechanic. It is important to stay up-to-date with the changes in design of motorcycles and their components.
LEDs are replacing incandescent bulbs in many situations.
Light emitting diodes, or LED, bulbs are replacing small incandescent and neon bulbs in many electronic appliances. LEDs have many advantages over traditional bulbs. They last 100 times longer than tungsten bulbs, they don't shatter like glass bulbs, they use up to 90 percent less electricity and they are non-toxic. The advent of 12-volt LEDs with bases designed to fit most 12-volt bulb-holders makes replacing 12-volt bulbs a realistic task for people with little or no electronic knowledge.
Instructions
1. Switch on the power supply to locate the bulb and the wires supplying electricity to the bulb holder. Use a digital multimeter to establish which wire is positive and which is negative. Connect the positive and negative probes across the bulb holder. If the multimeter shows a positive reading, the positive probe is on the positive wire. A negative reading means the positive probe is attached to the negative wire. Mark or label the positive wire. Now switch off the power.
2. Remove the bulb and place it somewhere safe. Check the polarity markings on the 12-volt LED. Insert the LED into the bulb-holder so the positive side of the LED connects with the positive side of the bulb holder. Push the LED firmly into the holder but do not use excessive force.
3. Switch on the bulb. If you connected the LED correctly it will illuminate. If the LED does not illuminate, switch off the power, remove the LED, turn it through 180 degrees and reconnect it with the polarity reversed. Switch on the power and check again. If the LED still fails, try a different LED or put the bulb back in the holder to make sure the power is still working.

Games are not the only type of software that take advantage of hardware accelerated graphics. Upgrading your video card is a sure-fire way of improving your laptop's performance across the board. Unfortunately, video cards like the ATI Radeon HD 3200 are built into laptops and cannot be swapped out for faster cards. However, there is a way of upgrading the performance of such cards. This involves increasing the shared memory of the graphics card by swapping out the stock RAM chip for a higher capacity chip.
Instructions
1. Disconnect the power cord and unplug your laptop's battery. Laptop batteries have small latches that slide over, allowing the battery to slide free.
2. Close the laptop and place it face down so that the underside is facing up.
3. Unscrew the back panel.
4. Unlatch the old RAM chip and remove it from the laptop.
5. Place the new RAM chip in the RAM socket. By pressing down on the chip firmly, the latches should click into place.
6. Screw the back panel onto the laptop.
7. Reconnect the battery and restart your laptop. The performance gain will be apparent once the OS has loaded.

Oil carryover, also known as slobbering oil, is a common problem in Harley-Davidson motorcycles. It is caused by the engine ejecting air and oil while operating.
Breathing
Motorcycle engines need to "breathe." Engines operate by pistons moving up and down in cylinders. As they do so, air is displaced and has to go somewhere. This output of air is called breathing. When the air is pushed out of the cylinder, it carries with it a certain amount of oil particles; this is why slobbering oil problems exist in the first place.
Older Models
Crankcase breathers were included on older Harley-Davidson models and originally ejected this oily air straight into the atmosphere. As society turned to a more environmentalist bent, the EPA declared that this was unacceptable. Such models are now required to be modified so that the oil is not ejected into the air. To accomplish this, the air is run through a filter or the oil run into a catch can. The breathing line is usually the source of an oil carryover problem because it is worn out, broken or improperly fitted, but a faulty filter or oil catch can also be the problem.
Newer Models
Harley-Davidson began to favor head breathers during the early 1990s. Head filters have two large, distinctive bolts that attach the breather to the engine. Instead of being released into the atmosphere, air from the pistons is rerouted into an air filter. Slobbering oil is generally caused by improperly fitted bolts or tubes. Off-brand air cleaners can also be a problem, since they may not be designed to fit correctly.
Solutions
Once the problem is diagnosed, the solution will likely seem obvious: a replaced filter, catch can or breathing line. However, it is important to look at the machine as a whole. A damaged line should be replaced with a model that will fit both the engine and the catch can/filter. While some off-brand models may do the job as well as their official counterparts, it is also important to do research to be sure this is the case.
Warning
These are merely guidelines for diagnosing the oil slobbering problem. The exact cause can vary from machine to machine, and inexperienced motorcyclists should consult a Harley-Davidson expert before attempting any repairs themselves. Moreover, oil slobbering problems are very dangerous, and not just because of environmental concerns: having oil on the tire reduces traction, which can lead to a wreck, and oil on the street can cause problems for other drivers later.
All Sportster models built after 1984 are powered by Harley-Davidson's Evolution engine. Unlike the other models in Harley-Davidson's lineup, which use a three-part engine, primary drive and transmission system, the Sportster houses the engine and transmission in the same unit. The primary drive, which transfers engine power to the transmission, also houses the motorcycle's manually operated clutch. Over time, the plates within the clutch can wear and allow the clutch to slip, a condition that presents itself as a lack of acceleration while the engine is racing. Repairing the clutch requires a few specialized tool and the partial disassembly of the primary drive.
Instructions
1. Park the Sportster on its side stand with the ignition off. Shift the transmission into fifth gear. Mount the Sportster on a service stand to hold it in a vertical position.
2. Remove the bolt from the rear of the seat, using a screwdriver or by hand. Pull the left side cover off the Sportster's frame, then remove the large Maxi-fuse from the separate fuse holder along the side of the fuse box.
3. Unbolt the left footrest from the Sportster's frame, using a Torx driver. Remove the shift lever pinch bolt, located at the center of the primary drive cover on the left side of the Sportster, using a combination wrench. Pull the shift lever off the shifter shaft.
4. Place a drain pan below the round clutch inspection cover at the rear portion of the primary drive cover. Remove the drain bolt, located directly under the clutch inspection cover, using a Torx driver. Let the primary fluid drain until the flow of oil reduces to a light drip. Screw the drain bolt into place once the primary fluid has drained completely, then tighten the bolt to between 14 and 30 foot-pounds, using a torque wrench.
5. Pull the rubber boot of the cable adjuster at the middle of the clutch cable, located near the left front frame tube. Loosen the adjuster lock nut, using an open-end wrench, then turn the adjuster clockwise until it is lightly seated to loosen the clutch cable.
6. Remove the clutch inspection cover and the quad-ring, the square-shaped O-ring that seals the cover against the primary drive, using a Torx driver. Pull the spring and lock plate off the center of the clutch release mechanism by hand.
7. Turn the adjustment screw at the center of the clutch release mechanism clockwise with a flat-head screwdriver until you can pull the clutch cable end out of the catch -- or ramp -- at the bottom of the mechanism. Hold the screw in place, then remove the screw's retaining nut with a box-end wrench. Loosen the lock nut securing the clutch cable to the bottom of the primary drive cover, using an open-end wrench. Unscrew the clutch cable from the cover.
8. Loosen the primary chain adjuster lock nut on the bottom of the primary drive cover, using open-end wrench. Turn the primary chain adjuster counterclockwise until the primary chain is completely loosened.
9. Remove the primary drive cover from the inner primary drive housing, using a Torx driver. Pull the clutch release mechanism off the adjustment screw.
10. Place a Harley-Davidson sprocket locking link between the engine sprocket and the clutch assembly inside the inner primary drive housing.
11. Remove the snap ring securing the clutch release plate and the adjustment screw to the clutch assembly, using internal snap ring pliers. Pull the screw and release plate out of the clutch assembly. Turn the nut at the center of the clutch assembly clockwise to loosen it, using an impact wrench. The nut has a left-hand thread; do not turn the nut counterclockwise to loosen it from the transmission shaft. Unscrew the nut completely. Push the clutch release plate back into place at the center of the clutch assembly.
12. Screw the forcing screw from the spring compressor tool into the clutch release plate. Place the compression tool body over the end of the forcing screw, then screw the handle into place over the body. Turn the handle clockwise to compress the clutch pressure plate and diaphragm spring until you can remove the pressure plate snap ring, using needle-nose pliers. Pull the tool, pressure plate and diaphragm spring out of the clutch assembly. Do not remove the tool from the clutch release plate.
13. Pull all 15 clutch plates out of the clutch assembly. Remove the spring plate from between the fourth and fifth fiber friction plates. Discard the old clutch plates, but retain the spring plate. Check the spring plate for obvious signs of damage, such as cracking or missing rivets. Replace the spring plate if it is damaged in any way.
14. Soak the replacement fiber friction plates and steel plates in Harley-Davidson Sport-Trans fluid for five minutes. Install the a fiber friction plate, followed by a steel plate into the clutch assembly. Alternate between fiber and steel plates until you have installed the fourth friction plate. Place the spring plate into the clutch assembly, then install the remaining clutch plates, starting with a fiber friction plate.
15. Reinstall the clutch pressure plate and diaphragm spring into the clutch assembly. Compress the diaphragm spring, using the spring compressor tool, then insert the snap ring against the pressure plate. Remove the compressor tool and clutch release plate, then unscrew the tool from the adjustment screw.
16. Tighten the clutch assembly lock nut counterclockwise to between 70 and 80 foot-pounds. Tighten the engine sprocket nut to between 190 and 210 foot-pounds. Pull the sprocket locking link out from between the engine sprocket and the clutch assembly. Push the clutch release plate into the clutch assembly. Insert a new snap ring over the clutch release plate, using internal snap ring pliers.
17.Reinstall the primary drive cover. Tighten the cover bolts to between 100 and 120 inch-pounds, using a crisscross pattern to evenly tighten the cover onto the inner primary drive housing. Screw the clutch cable into the bottom of the primary drive cover until it is fully seated. Tighten the cable against the primary drive cover to between 36 and 60 inch-pounds.
18. Turn the clutch release adjustment screw counterclockwise until you can hook the end of the clutch cable over the clutch release ramp. Screw the retaining nut over the end of the adjustment screw. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise until you feel resistance, then turn it clockwise a quarter turn. Place the spring and lock plate over the clutch release mechanism.
19. Fill the primary drive with Harley-Davidson Sport-Trans fluid. Stop when the fluid level is just below the clutch pressure plate. Reinstall the clutch inspection cover and a new quad-ring. Tighten the cover bolts to between 84 and 108 inch-pounds, alternating between bolts in a crisscross pattern.
20. Remove the smaller primary chain inspection cover from the top of the primary drive cover, using a Torx driver. Turn the primary chain adjuster clockwise until the primary chain can be moved vertically between three-eighths to a half-inch by hand. Tighten the adjuster lock nut to between 20 and 25 foot-pounds. Reinstall the primary chain inspection cover, then tighten the cover bolts to between 84 and 108 inch-pounds.
21. Pull in the clutch lever until you feel resistance, then measure the gap between the clutch lever and the clutch lever perch. Ideally, there should be a 1/8-inch gap. Turn the cable adjuster at the middle of the clutch cable counterclockwise to tighten the cable until the gap is set to 1/8-inch. Tighten the cable adjuster lock nut, then pull the rubber boot over the adjuster.
22. Push the shift lever onto the shifter shaft at the center of the primary drive cover. Tighten the shift lever pinch bolt. Reinstall the left foot rest bracket onto the Sportster's frame. Tighten the bracket bolts to between 45 and 50 foot-pounds.
23. Remove the Sportster from the service stand, then lower it onto its side stand.
There could be several reasons your golf cart is backfiring.
There can be a temptation not to consider golf carts proper automobiles, but they can often fall foul of the exact same problems which can affect a car. For example, backfiring, a problem you might think only affects road-going vehicles, could just as quickly hit your Columbia Par Car Golf Cart. If this turns out to be the case then there are several steps you can take to remedy the problem.
Instructions
1. Visually inspect your spark plugs. These are responsible for providing the spark that ignites the air and gas mixture and if it is dirty or damaged then this could be what is causing the cart to backfire. Clean or replace the spark plug, as required.
2. Inspect the gaskets on the golf cart's engine. These are what keeps the vital gases inside the engine compartment, and you may find escaped gases are causing the cart to backfire due to a lack of power.
3. Ensure the distributor cap is not damaged or cracked in any way. This can cause the cart to backfire; the cap should be replaced if there is even so much as a hairline crack.

The emblems on the Harley-Davidson 883 are vinyl decals applied directly to the painted surface of the gas tank. These decals are then clear-coated with a polyester hardener to protect the paint. If you remove the original emblems from the tank to apply custom Harley-Davidson emblems, you will unfortunately destroy your motorcycle's original paint job as well as the clear coat.
Instructions
1. Remove the fuel hose from the fuel delivery petcock, a small valve, located on the left side of the gas tank with pliers. Open the valve on the petcock and drain the gas into a gas can. Close the valve on the petcock.
2. Loosen the jam nut that secures the petcock to the bottom of the tank with a wrench and turn the petcock clockwise to thread it out of the gas tank.
3. Remove the bolt located on the front of the tank between the tank and the front neck of the frame with a socket and ratchet. Remove the bolt that secures the back tank to the frame with a socket and ratchet. The bolt is located between the tank and the seat. Pull the tank off the Sportster's frame.
4. Place a 600-grit sanding pad onto an orbital sander.
5. Turn on your orbital sander and press the 600-grit sandpaper against the emblem on the tank. Rotate the sander around the tank in a wide circular pattern. Sand the entire surface of the tank until you expose the bare metal. The finish over the emblem is relatively thin. The 600-grit sand paper will grind through to the bare metal over the majority of the tank after approximately 20-minutes of sanding.
